The Ghibli Museum in Mitaka has announced a new attraction called Yureito (”The Haunted Tower” in English).

Planned and designed by Hayao Miyazaki, it exhibits a giant clock tower in the Central Hall of the museum, complete with a spiral staircase, a maze, and a diorama model of the Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro setting

The idea for the tower, based on a novel Miyazaki read during his school years, was used in the Cagliostro film.

This is a must-see attraction! Yureito will be open to the public from May 30 onwards. For more information, go here.
